This painting emerged through an intuitive and meditative painting process. Gradually, the Himba woman and the leopard revealed themselves. Together, they form an archetype of contentment — a quiet strength that does not come from the outside, but from a deep connection with nature.
The Himba have lived in close connection with nature for generations. Their culture reminds us how fulfilling a life shaped by community, simplicity, and respect for the Earth can be.
The leopard embodies presence, dignity, and calm. It does not waste its energy. It acts when the moment is right and rests when it is time to rest.
Contentment invites us to turn our attention back to what is already here and to rediscover the beauty in simplicity.
