The Archetype
Without Resistance emerged through an intuitive and meditative painting process. Gradually, a man standing in water beneath a powerful waterfall revealed himself.
His body appears strong, yet there is no tension in his posture. He does not fight the water or try to control its force. He simply stands within it — calm, grounded, and present.
The waterfall becomes a symbol of movement and release. Water flows around him and past him, reminding us that life is constantly changing and that not everything needs to be held, controlled, or resisted.
There is a quiet contrast at the heart of this work: physical strength meets surrender. The man’s strength does not disappear when he stops resisting. It takes on another form — the strength to trust, to remain present, and to allow life to move through him.
The background contains Saharan dust, bringing a physical trace of the natural world into the painting itself. Earth and water meet within the work, connecting the human figure to the elemental forces surrounding him.
