The Archetype
The 1920s were a time of new beginnings. Women began to redefine their place in society. They became more independent, more self-assured, and gradually began to find their own voice.
This work emerged through an intuitive painting process. Gradually, the woman, the poodle, the piano, and the lilies revealed themselves. None of these elements were planned — each found its place and began to tell its own story.
The woman carries the elegance of her time. Yet behind her beauty lies something greater: the moment when a person begins to follow their own path.
Lilies grow from her, symbolizing dignity, clarity, and the strength to remain true to oneself. In the background, collage and dripping create the atmosphere of a jazz cellar with a piano — evoking an era in which art, music, and freedom opened up new possibilities.
The poodle accompanies her with a quiet presence. Intelligent, attentive, and elegant, it reminds us that true strength does not have to be loud.
