Athena emerged through an intuitive and meditative painting process. Gradually, a woman in bronze armor and an owl by her side revealed themselves. It was only long after the painting was completed that it became clear how strongly the work evokes the ancient goddess Athena.
In her upright posture, she embodies a strength that does not arise from a desire to fight, but from clarity, responsibility, and inner conviction. Her armor protects her without separating her from the world. It represents the willingness to stand up for what truly matters.
The owl accompanies her as a symbol of wisdom. It reminds us that true strength does not come from power, but from insight and the ability to maintain a clear perspective even in difficult situations.
